Strategic Plan Goal: ENGAGE - Provide benefits and services to support member success.
The Membership Committee includes multiple association projects and programs that help members connect with each other, while providing opportunities for them to grow and develop professionally and personally. The committee assists new and recent graduates in establishing professional, ethical modes of practice.
The committee also promotes student engagement with the association by supporting programs and activities that connect students with ArOA members and organized optometry.
Length of Appointment: Date of Appointment - Conclusion of 2027 Spring Convention.
Programs and Projects
- Career Ambassador - High School (HOSA - 1 Day in Feb. or March, Hot Springs - 2027: March 31)
- LEAD Program (4 events per year, every other year)
- NOW CA - Networking Optometric Women Events Central AR (1 per year)
- NOW NWA - Networking Optometric Women Events Northwest AR (1 per year)
- Special Olympics Screening (1 day in May)
- Student Liaison - NSUOCO (1 dinner per semester)
- Student Liaison - SCO (1 dinner per semester and State Day Dinner in Sept.)
- Student Leader - NSUOCO (Works with ArOA to schedule and promote events to support the students)

- YAC CA - Young OD Events Central AR (1 per year)
