Student Info - Fall Convention
2026 Fall Convention Student Travel Grants
We hope that you will attend the 2026 Arkansas Optometric Association Fall Convention October 23-24, 2026 at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
10 travel grants of $150 are available and are on first-come, first-served basis for student doctors who are affiliated members of the AROA. We suggest that you register and apply for a travel grant as soon as possible.
The Deadline to register for the conference and apply for a travel grant is 5:00pm October 9, 2026.
Student Registration and Travel Grant Application
Housing is NOT included. You must book your own hotel room. The ArOA has a room block at Oaklawn for $160/night. You are not obligated to stay in the room block.
To receive your travel grant, you must attend certain functions at the convention. We have listed the functions below.
For a travel grant, students must attend:
- Membership Lunch on Friday (11:30 am-12:30 pm)
- Exhibit Hall on Friday (9:00 am-3:30 pm)
- At least one class on Friday or Saturday
To receive your check:
When you check in at convention registration, you will receive a checklist of events to attend. Once the checklist is completed, take it to the registration desk for your check.
