The following information is for individual review for the Advanced Procedure Credentialing Exam. You should also study the new law and rules. The jurisprudence part of the AP exam will only cover Act 579.

The procedures in Act 579 include those listed below. Study ALL of these procedures for the written part of the test.
- injections, excluding intraocular or intraveneous
- incision and cutterage of a chalazion
- removal of a skin lesion
- laser trabeculoplasty
- laser capsulotomy

Equipment Demonstration Videos
All Nidek Demonstration Videos can be found here or at the individual links below. (This is a video training section for the YAG/SLT laser that will be used during clinical exam. There are 4 videos to watch. All of them look a bit like a business card on the website on the full site. The individual videos that you need to watch are listed below and linked to the video). While the written part of the test covers ALL procedures listed in Act 579, the clinical part of the test is on YAG and SLT. The four videos to watch:

Exams
Testing will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Freeway Medical Building, Rooms 908 & 909 in Little Rock. The State Board office will send you an email with your exam times and other important information. Any questions concerning your exam time should be directed to the State Board of Optometry. The State Board office has asked that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled written AND clinical exams.
